A plain-language summary of the information used to operate the Raining Embers website and Members Only community.
Your information
Battle.net login provides an account identifier, BattleTag, and the World of Warcraft characters available to the account. We compare those characters with the current Raining Embers and Raining Embers Alts rosters to confirm access and leadership permissions. The site does not request your Battle.net password or email address.
Members may add profile details, posts, comments, reactions, friendships, messages, uploaded images or videos, quest progress, and other community activity. Private messages are available only to conversation participants, except for the narrow message snapshot a participant deliberately includes in a report to guild leaders.
Recruitment applicants choose one Battle.net-owned character and use a private conversation shared with authorized guild leaders. Leadership may add notes that are visible only to other authorized leaders; those notes are never included in applicant pages or responses.
Storage and sharing
Structured community records are stored in the site database and uploaded media is kept in private object storage. Media is served through permission-checked site routes rather than public bucket links. We do not sell member information. Blizzard receives the normal OAuth and API requests needed for login and character verification. Supported external video players load only after a member chooses to open an embed.
Merch Shop
The Merch Shop can be browsed without signing in. To keep the cart available across page refreshes, the site stores only an anonymous Fourthwall cart ID in your browser. Product catalog and cart requests pass through Raining Embers site routes to Fourthwall's storefront service. When you choose checkout, the site hands that cart to Fourthwall's hosted checkout.
Raining Embers does not link your Battle.net identity to Fourthwall, send your Battle.net email or account details to Fourthwall, or store Fourthwall order, shipping, or payment information. Information you provide during checkout is handled by Fourthwall under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Retention and control
Guild access is removed after a successful verification confirms that none of the connected characters remain in either guild. The local community account is scheduled for deletion after six continuous months away and is restored if the member rejoins before that date. Members can reset a custom avatar, log out of their site session, or permanently delete their community account immediately from Settings.
Recruitment history is retained so applicants and leadership can refer to earlier decisions and conversations. A privacy deletion permanently replaces the connected account, character identity, message text, and leadership-note text while retaining only non-identifying status dates and aggregate counts.
Community reports
Raining Embers leaders review reports and disputes manually. The site does not use automated content judgment, toxicity scoring, or automatic disciplinary actions. Technical file, permission, quota, and rate checks protect the service without judging a post's subject.
